You can prevent the children of our mission...wondering when or where they will get food and water. The rains rule their lives and again this year the rains came at the wrong time. The past 3-4 years the rains have been little or none at all. Crop loss and lack of water have taken a horrible toll on families and increases their poverty and sufferings.

When we need water, we have only turn on the tap and out it comes – pure and clean. In the developing world, the scarcity and contamination of water holds the potential of death. It is difficult to believe that water can be a silent and deadly killer.

In order to understand the problem of hunger, I would like to quote some statistics: 500 million people suffer from serious malnutrition, 250 million are children under the age of five, 20 million die each year of hunger, 42,000 children die every day in the third world, 90% of these deaths could be prevented with safe water.
